Some Medieval Cooking Blogs

Post by Elden » Sat Feb 06, 2010 9:58 pm

http://tudorcook.blogspot.com/ -> This is the blog of the Tudor kitchens cookery project at Hampton Court Palace, Surrey, England. It seems to look mostly at medieval manuscripts and give a possible interpretation
http://www.medievalcookery.com/index.html
http://medievalcookery.blogspot.com/ -> companion blog to medieval cookery
http://cookalong.blogspot.com/ The Cook-A-Long is a virtual kitchen for Medieval and Renaissance Cooking enthusiasts in the SCA. Each month a period recipe will be posted in the original language (when available) and a translation. All cooks are encouraged to try their hand at redacting and preparing the monthly dish and post his/ her results to the blog.
http://greneboke.blogspot.com/- much information about how to safely cook and transport food although the post on The Tale of the Fire-Breathing Boar - Part 1 is probably the most interesting thing about this site.
